ทีมวิจัยท้องถิ่นกุยบุรีนำเสนอข้อมูลงานวิจัย และ เสนอสร้างระบบเฝ้าระวังร่วมอุทยาน-ชุมชน Kui Buri Community-based Research update: progress report and setting the participatory elephant patrolling system between community and government

 

เมื่อวันที่ 15 กันยายน 2563  อุทยานแห่งชาติกุยบุรีได้จัดประชุมเพื่อหาแนวทางเพื่อหาแนวทางร่วมกันในการแก้ปัญหาระหว่างคนกับช้างป่ารอบอุทยาน โดยมีนายอำเภอกุยบุรี ตัวแทนจาก WWF ประเทศไทย ทีมวิจัยท้องถิ่นกุยบุรี และชาวบ้าน 3 หมู่บ้าน ได้แก่ บ้านรวมไทย บ้านย่านซื่อและบ้านพุบอน  การประชุมจัดขึ้น ณ จุดตรวจห้วยลึก อุทยานแห่งชาติกุยบุรี 

ทางทีมวิจัยท้องถิ่นกุยบุรี นำโดยนางสาวน้ำฝน เอี่ยมสะอาด หัวหน้าโครงการวิจัยฯ ได้นำเสนอข้อมูลช้างป่าและกระทิงที่เข้ามาในพื้นที่เกษตรของชาวบ้านตามแนวชายขอบป่า โดยข้อมูลที่เก็บจากทีมวิจัยในโครงการฯ แสดงให้เห็นช่องว่างการเฝ้าระวังของเจ้าหน้าที่ที่ชาวบ้านรอบเขตอุทยานฯ สามารถเข้าไปช่วยเติมเต็มและทำงานร่วมกันเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ อีกทั้งยัง เสนอสร้างระบบเฝ้าระวังร่วมอุทยาน-ชุมชน ในพื้นที่อีกด้วย

หลังจากนั้น ทีมวิจัยได้นำเสนอแนวทางการดำเนินงานในเรื่องของการปรับเปลี่ยนพืชและแปรรูปเพื่อเป็นรายได้เสริม พร้อมทั้งเสนอแนวทางการทำงานร่วมกันจากรูปแบบข้อมูลที่เก็บมาระหว่างเจ้าหน้าที่อุทยานฯ และชุมชน เพื่อใช้ในการผลักดันช่างป่าแบบมีส่วนร่วมและเพื่อให้คนกับช้างป่าพอที่จะอยู่ร่วมกันได้ในพื้นที่ที่มีช้างป่าออกมาใกล้กับชุมชน

 

 

On September 15th, 2020.

Kui Buri Community-based Research Team has attended the human-elephant conflict management meeting at Huai Luek Patrolling Station, Kui Bui National Park.  In this meeting, Kui Buri district chief officer has acted as the chairman of the meeting along with villagers from three nearby villages (Ban Ruam Thai, Ban Yarn Sue and Ban Pu Bon) and WWF-Thailand.

Ms. Namfon Aeumsaard, representative from Kui Buri Community-based Research Team has presented the progress and data from research project. They’ve found the gap in Kui Buri National Park patrolling unit which occurred along the forest-farm boundary. Thereby, the research team has suggested that there should be the co-management human-elephant patrolling system. This will not only help lessen the burden the of National Park rangers in  but it also improve the effectiveness in preventing crop-raiding elephants.  Moreover, research team also proposed the alternative crop system and value-added product as the additional income for farmers. All this aim for creating the peaceful co-existence for human and elephants.
